20th CTAS ANNUAL WORKSHOP AND EXHIBITION

The Canadian Thermal Analysis Society (CTAS) will be holding its 20th Annual Workshop and Exhibition on May 12-13, 2010 at the Stage West Hotel (http://www.stagewest.com), 5400 Dixie Road Mississauga, ON, L4W 4T4, Tel: (905) 238-0159. See our flyer.

The two-day CTAS Workshop and Exhibition will include a one-day training session, a one-day technical session with oral and poster presentations and a two-day instruments exhibition. Full papers will be submitted for publication to a special issue of the Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (JTAC)

CTAS would like to invite you to present a paper and/or poster in this annual event. The subject matter may cover any aspect of thermal analysis techniques, hyphenated techniques and applications to organic or inorganic materials.

To recognize contributions by students to the field of thermal analysis, two awards will be granted: one for best oral presentation ($200) and one for best poster ($50).

This occasion is an excellent opportunity to meet other thermal analysts and exhibitors, and to learn new application in thermal analysis. Please show your support to the Canadian thermal analysis community by attending, presenting a paper and/or exhibiting your instrument in the Workshop and Exhibition 2010.

The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to April 15, 2010. Please submit the completed abstract form to Laila Raki (laila.raki@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca or fax: 613-954-5984), your exhibition form to Robert Stothers (stotherr@aecl.ca or fax: 613-584-8214), and your registration/membership form to Shanti Singh (shanti.singh@NRCan.gc.ca, or fax: 613-995-1230).
